Cal Expo is a fairgrounds/display buildings/Horse and motorcycle dirt track venue that opened in 1968...to replace the old fairgrounds (the one that you see in the movie "On Any Sunday"...). The first couple of Autoramas that I got to go to were at the old Fairgrounds, starting in 1964.
Cal Expo is kind of a modern labyrinth of buildings spread over quite a few acres. There are multiple levels and many interconnecting walkways. Next year I'll probably go a little earlier so I can spend more time absorbing all there is to see, and be able to do better photography. Like many similar events it can be hard to capture decent pics due to display design and all the people trying to do the same thing...
So without further ado....some Model T's since that is what this blog is supposed to be about...
A 'Fad T' sort of car...in basic black , that was part of an insurance display...I think...
Another T. in candy red and with a blower and zoomies...
A long T in chocolate...
A 1923 T
It's interesting, the variety of T's there are. You can see how they evolved into the Model A.
Couple views of a neat narrowed 26 T
a couple more angles on the brown T
Think we will end here with the back of a 1959 Morris Woody with surfboads...
Be back with more cars next time, so check back in...
